Matt & Errisson have been working together and collaborating on photography and video productions since late 2010. Combining their efforts as a “Photography-Duo” , they created blkXsgr (Black Sugar Productions) in 2023, which showcases their combined talents and the ability to shoot in tandem on set, or trade off seamlessly between shooting and directing, or assisting one another when needed. This combination is a great benefit to our clients, who basically get the combined experience of 2 professional photographers/directors on every production.
blkXsgr has the unique ability to split off into 2 separate shoots for the same client, while keeping everything under one production, keeping everything consistent between both shoots, while saving on overhead and budget. This has been a huge benefit for our clients who need to shoot stills & video at the same time, needing 2 photographers at different angles for Live Performances, for clients who plan a lifestyle shoot on location while shooting product in studio on the same day, or when rushing to shooting 2 separate talent (at the same time) because of the talent’s overlapping schedules. It always helps to have more trained eyes on the subject at hand. Which means…WE GET THE SHOTS YOU NEED. PERIOD.

Originally from Gary, Indiana, Errisson Lawrence went from “Mid-West” to “West Coast” in 2009 to pursue his dreams of working as a full-time professional photographer.
Errisson has been steadily building a spectacular body of commercial and advertising photography work.
His outstanding photographic work with actor/comedian Kevin Hart’s “Irresponisble” and “What Now?” tours, has been featured on billboards, posters, magazines and multiple other types of media across the globe
More of Errisson’s work has been featured on the movie posters for the Tupac feature film “All Eyes On Me”, and projects for ALLBLK TV and LIONSGATE. His work for Cirque du Soleil and Disney has been seen by audiences and fans around the globe.

Born in West Los Angeles, Matt Beard grew up in Venice Beach, surrounded by surfing, skateboarding, fast cars, loud music…and a camera.
With over 27 years of experience in the photography industry, the award winning photographer & director is best known for his commercial and advertising photography work for brands including Disney, Cirque du Soleil, The Bouqs, Mendocino Farms, Apple Music, Microsoft, Porsche, Ferrari, GAP, Buick, Levis, Lucky Brand Jeans and much more.
Matt recently won 3 ADDY AWARDS for his commercial advertising work with “Mendocino Farms” and “The Bouqs”.
Matt is well regarded for his music and entertainment photography & video work as well, with dozens of album artwork shoots, music videos and multiple book covers .
